LeanPick Support

Last updated: July 24, 2026

LeanPick tells you, in plain language, which dishes on a menu fit how you eat, and gives you the exact words to ask your server. This page answers the questions that come up most, and tells you how to reach a person.

Your subscription

What LeanPick Plus includes

Unlimited scans of any menu you point it at: your camera, your photos, or a DoorDash / Uber Eats link, with the picks and the words to ask. The free sample menu stays free, always, subscription or not.

Plans and prices

There is no free trial. You are charged when you subscribe, and both plans are auto-renewable until you cancel.

How to cancel

Open LeanPick, tap the gear to open Settings, and tap Manage in the App Store. That opens Apple's own subscription management, where you can change plan or cancel. You can also cancel from iOS Settings: tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, then LeanPick Plus. Canceling stops the next renewal; your Plus access runs to the end of the period you already paid for.

Restoring a purchase

If you subscribed on another device signed in to the same Apple Account, open Settings in LeanPick and tap Restore Purchases. It needs an internet connection, because it checks with the App Store. If it reports no previous purchase, you are probably signed in to a different Apple Account than the one that bought it.

Refunds

All LeanPick purchases go through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Using the app

A menu did not read well

LeanPick reads printed text. Photograph the menu straight on, with the whole panel in frame and enough light, and avoid glare from a candle or an overhead spot. A long menu can be captured across several pages: keep adding pages before you tap read. If a dish name is not legible in the photo, LeanPick marks it as not read rather than guessing at it.

Delivery links

LeanPick reads DoorDash and Uber Eats store links. Other delivery services are not supported yet. If a supported link will not open, the restaurant's page may have been taken down or changed shape; you can always photograph or paste the menu text instead.

Changing what LeanPick looks for

Settings carries every answer you gave when you set LeanPick up: your focus, foods you skip, allergies, how strict your picks should be, and where you eat out. Change any of them any time, and your next read follows the new answer.

Notifications

LeanPick sends no notifications at all in this version. Reminders arrive in a later update.

Allergies, and what LeanPick is not

LeanPick is not a medical device and gives no medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. It helps you read a menu and ask a better question. It cannot know how a dish was actually prepared, what a kitchen substituted today, or whether a surface was shared. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, always confirm with your server or the kitchen before you order. That is what the ask lines are for.

Privacy

Menu photos are read on your device; only the extracted menu text leaves your phone, never the photo. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy, and the Terms of Use cover the subscription terms.
